Public verify

Document verification anyone can run

Open a verification link or enter a code to confirm SHA-256 document integrity. Issuer Verified may appear when the issuer completed business verification (Know Your Business, or KYB) — identity and signatures are not checked today.

Look-alike PDFs and swapped attachments still happen. Public verification lets anyone open a link or enter a code and see whether the sealed bytes still match — without a recipient account.

When an issuer has completed business verification (Know Your Business, or KYB), verification can show Issuer Verified. That checks the issuing organization — not a person.

Try a code on the verify page, or seal your first document and share the link with a colleague so they can run the same check.

How a recipient checks a seal

Open the link or code, confirm SHA-256 integrity on the sealed record, then optionally upload a copy you hold for a one-time file match.

Look-alike files and swapped attachments

A familiar filename or a “corrected” attachment is not proof you hold the sealed record. Teams need a check anyone can run when a look-alike PDF shows up.

What integrity proves

Document integrity means the sealed file bytes match the record Opcilo stored at seal time. SHA-256 answers “is this the same file?” — not whether every statement inside is true.

Issuer Verified after KYB

Issuer Verified can appear after business verification (Know Your Business, or KYB). It is an organization check on the issuer workspace — not a person identity check and not a signature check.

How recipients check a file

Open the link or enter the code to see seal status and integrity. To confirm a file you hold matches the seal, upload a copy for a one-time hash check on the verification page — it is not saved as a sealed document and is discarded when the check finishes.

What it does not prove

Public verify does not check the identity of the person who opened the link, and it does not check signatures. Those outcomes are not available today.

Why try verification now

Run a live check on the verify page, or seal a sample file and share the link. Seeing integrity and Issuer Verified (when KYB applies) beats guessing from an email attachment.

Opcilo does not offer person identity checks or signature checks as available outcomes today, and does not market SOC 2 or ISO certification on this page.
